Arson Charge The arson investigation at Chippewa Secondary has resulted in a 15 year old girl being charged with arson. She is to appear in youth court in November. Cst Chris Johnson investigated. Officer Injured At 4:00 p.m.

Arson The North Bay Police are investigating arson at Chippewa Secondary school. The contents of garbage can in a girls washroom was ignited causing it to smoulder. The Fire Dept attended and the school was evacuated.

Break and Enter Between 5:00 p.m. on the 05th Oct and 9:00 a.m. on the 7th Oct padlocks on 14 storage containers on Progress Ct were broken off. Only one container was missing contents.

Weekend Over the weekend the North Bay Police Service responded to 200 calls for service that resulted in 11 arrests. Offences included assaults, domestic assaults, sexual assaults, thefts, breach of court orders and public intoxication.

Threatening On the 3rd Oct a domestic situation resulted in a 26 year old man being arrested and charged with 2 counts of threatening death, criminal harassment, and 2 counts of breach of undertaking. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

Thefts Between 24th and 27th of Sept, 4 sets of winter rims and tires were stolen from a sea container used for storage at a dealership on Eloys Rd. A padlock broken off on the 24th Sept was replaced only to be broken off again on the 27th.
