UPDATE: Bicycle located

The blue CCM Vector hybrid bicycle (pictured below) which was reported stolen to police on May 20 was located later that evening. It has been returned to its rightful owner.

The investigation into its theft is ongoing.

Bicycle thefts

The North Bay Police Service has recently received a number of reports of bicycle thefts.

Occurrence number NB17010228
A blue CCM Vector hybrid bicycle with a mountain bike frame and road bike wheels and a black milk crate on the back was reported stolen sometime overnight between Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 from a residence on Sixth Avenue. The bike was left locked outside.

Occurrence number NB17010299
A black and lime green Electra cruiser bicycle with white walled tires, a black basket on the front, and numerous flower and skull stickers all over the frame was reported stolen from a residence on Cassells Street sometime overnight between Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21. Also stolen was a blue and gray two-seater trailer. The bike was left locked outside.

Occurrence number NB17010371
An older brown Iron Horse mountain bike with front RockShox and with the word “King” on its tires was reported stolen from Oak Street sometime overnight between 11 p.m. on May 21 and May 22. The bike was left locked outside without its seat.

Occurrence number NB17010489
A Norco Giant 26” wheels, grey, black and red mountain bike with skinny tires was reported stolen from a residence on Fisher Street sometime between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23.
