Two face charges for trafficking marijuana Following a traffic stop conducted shortly after 4 p.m. on Lakeshore Drive on Tuesday afternoon, officers from the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime unit arrested and charged two people.

Police seeks public’s assistance in fail to remain collision

The North Bay Police Service is asking for witnesses of a motor vehicle collision that took place on Tuesday afternoon at Ferguson Street and Third Avenue to come forward.

On Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 4:50 p.m., the driver of a car travelling northbound across Ferguson Street from Third Avenue East to Third Avenue West struck another vehicle travelling westbound on Ferguson and then proceeded northbound on Third Avenue West without stopping. The struck vehicle was damaged on the front end passenger side as a result.

The suspect car is described as:
silver in colour;
either a Hyundai or Honda; and
potentially damaged on the front end, passenger side.

Two face charges for trafficking marijuana

Following a traffic stop conducted shortly after 4 p.m. on Lakeshore Drive on Tuesday afternoon, officers from the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime unit arrested and charged two people.

Jim Stephen Hegyi and Joseph Rene Neale Bazinet, both 18 and both from North Bay, were each charged with one count of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Both were released from custody with a court date scheduled for March 1, 2016.

As a result of this investigation, the North Bay Police Service seized approximately 110 grams of marijuana, with a street value estimated at over $1,000, as well as drug accessories as evidence.
