The North Bay Police Service seeks the public’s assistance with a theft investigation.

UPDATE: Robbery investigation, second suspect arrested

This is an update to a media release the North Bay Police Service issued on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016  and a second media release issued on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016.

At police headquarters yesterday (Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016), North Bay Police arrested Isaac Ashfield, age 18, of North Bay, and charged him with:
two counts of robbery with violence;
two counts of forcible confinement; and
one count of extortion.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Theft investigation

WARNING: Missing methadone could be fatal if consumed

The North Bay Police Service seeks the public’s assistance with a theft investigation.

A complainant contacted police yesterday to report that sometime between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, unknown persons entered her residence on the 100 block of Carruthers Street and removed a box containing methadone, two rings (one described as gold with small diamonds; the other is white gold with a green gem stone) and a tablet.

Public alert
The box contained three full bottles of methadone, which, if consumed, could be fatal.

Break and enter investigation

The North Bay Police Service requests the public’s assistance with a break and enter investigation.

Sometime overnight between Monday, Dec. 19 and Tuesday, Dec. 20, an unknown person or persons entered a business on the 700 block of Cassells Street. Once inside, they pried open a locked cash box and removed cash.
