In the early morning of September 26, 2017 a suspicious female in a Fisher Street parking lot was reported to the North Bay Police Officers.

Recovered stolen vehicle

In the early morning of Sept. 26, 2017 a suspicious female in a Fisher Street parking lot was reported to the North Bay Police Officers. A licence plate of the vehicle she was driving was also obtained and the vehicle had been reported stolen the day before in Trois Rivieres, Quebec.

The vehicle left prior to police arrival however the driver and vehicle were located in the parking lot of a restaurant on O’Brien Street in the early hours of the morning. The woman was arrested from the driver’s seat where she was in possession of Methamphetamine tablets with a street value of $260.

35 year old Valerie Godbout of Laval Quebec was held for a bail hearing charged with:
Possession of Property Obtained by crime and
Possession of Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Breach of Probation

Recovered stolen vehicle

On Sept. 25, 2017 at 4:48 a.m. police responded to an abandoned damaged vehicle in the 3000 block of Highway 63 in the City of North Bay. The area was searched and a male was located 400 meters from the vehicle lying on the side of the road heavily intoxicated with a bottle of liquor next to him. The male was arrested for impaired driving. The vehicle was also reported stolen.

43-year-old Mark Ashfield of North Bay is charged with:
Driving with more than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood
Care or Control While Impaired
Theft of Motor Vehicle and
Fail to comply with Probation Order
