Six face drug charges following execution of CDSA search warrant

On Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, following an ongoing investigation and the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on a residential unit on the 500 block of Rose Avenue in North Bay, North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit and patrol officers arrested the following individuals, who were all present in the residence at the time:

Tate McKinlay, age 18, of North Bay, was charged with:
One count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
One count of possession of marijuana; and
One count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Jessica Ann Paquette, age 34, of North Bay, was charged with:
One count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
One count of possession of marijuana; and
One count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Marlene Frances Elizabeth Paquette, age 55, of North Bay, was charged with:
One count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
One count of possession of marijuana; and
One count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Cory Vryn Peterson, age 49, of North Bay, was charged with:
One count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
One count of possession of marijuana;
One count of possession of property obtained by crime; and
Two counts of breach of probation.

Jason Sewell, age 19, of Toronto, was charged with:
One count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
One count of possession of marijuana; and
One count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Horatio Ovando Watson, age 41 of Toronto, was charged with:
One count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
One count of possession of marijuana; and
One count of possession of property obtained by crime.

As a result of the search, police seized a small amount of marijuana and cocaine, as well as over $5,000 in Canadian currency.

All six accused were released from custody with court dates scheduled for Jan. 7, 2017.
