The following are news releases issued by the North Bay Police Service:

Shortly after midnight on Jan. 16 2018, a male approached a vehicle stopped at a gas station on Fisher Street carrying a metal bar. He attempted to open the vehicle door and demanded money from the occupants. The victim drove away, while the culprit threw the metal bar breaking the driver side mirror.

The suspect is described as 5’10”, thin build wearing a mask. Wearing a dark hooded jacket that went below the waist with red and white stripes on the arms.

North Bay Police are seeking the public assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in a theft from a Jewelry store on Main Street, North Bay on Friday Jan. 12, 2018.

The male expressed interest in several pieces of jewelry and handled the boxes several times. The male left the store and it was discovered that the boxes were now empty and the he had stolen the jewelry.

The employee describes the male as having olive skin, dark hair, spoke with an unfamiliar accent, heavy set and approximately 35 to 40 years old.
