Yesterday, following an investigation, North Bay Police arrested and charged a 24-year-old man

Man faces sexual exploitation and sexual assault charges

Yesterday, following an investigation, North Bay Police arrested and charged a 24-year-old man with:
One count of sexual exploitation;
One count of sexual assault; and
Two counts of breach of probation.

It is alleged that in 2016, the accused sexually exploited and sexually assaulted a young female who was living in his North Bay residence at the time.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

In order to protect the identity of the victim, the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the name of the accused.

Break and enter investigation leads to charges

Yesterday, following a 9-1-1 call reporting a break and enter, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

Devon Hedley, age 21, of Madoc, Ontario with:
One count of break and enter and commit theft;
Two counts of breach of probation; and
One count of breach of recognizance.

It is alleged that on Feb. 6, 2017, shortly before 8:30 a.m., the accused entered a business on Algonquin Avenue and forced his way into a locked office. Following a search of his person after his arrest, police seized over $100 in Canadian currency and a key belonging to the business.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
