Woman charged with assault with a weapon
On Saturday, following an ongoing investigation into an assault complaint reported to police over a week ago, North Bay Police arrested and charged Tammy Lynn Ostrowski, age 31, of North Bay, with one count of assault with a weapon.
It is alleged that on the evening of Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, while a group of friends were socializing in a North Bay residence, the accused was upset with a person present and assaulted him with an edged weapon. She left the residence before police were contacted.
The victim was not injured.
The accused was held in custody pending a Weekends and Statutory Holidays court hearing.
