SUSPECT STRUCK BY VEHICLE

On Jan. 25 shortly after 11 p.m., two individuals broke into Cyclops Video, on Gormanville Road, by smashing the front window.

Once the individuals was then struck by a vehicle after exiting the video store by jumping out the window.

He received a broken leg.
Cst. Aaron Northrup and Ray Yelle of the Street Crime
Unit of the North Bay Police Service attended the North Bay General Hospital and arrested him.

Richard Lake, 42, of Oasis Trailer Park on Highway 17 in North Bay is charged with Break and Enter and Theft. He is to appear in court on March 16.


SEXUAL ASSAULT

An 18-year-old North Bay woman and a 34-year-old North Bay man have been charged after being arrested in connection with several sexual assaults over the last eight months.

The North Bay Police Service said the assaults involved the female victims being held down by another female while they're being sexually assaulted by a male.

The assaults began in June and continued until the present.

Cst. Fernando Cirullo arrested a man Monday night, while other officers arrested a female earlier in the day.

Melissa Fournier, 18, of Duke Street W., is charged with two counts of sexual assault and sexual interference.
Kenneth Pitt, 34, of Diefenbaker Court, is charged with two counts of sexual assault, and more charges are pending. Four femalvictims that have come forward so far.
Both individuals remain in custody for a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTER ARREST
On Feb. 1 while responding to a break and enter call into a residene on Mountainview Road, Cst. Brewer of the North Bay Police Service suspected an individual and in fact found that the individual had just left an adjoining residence.

The officer began searching for him and located him a short distance away on Wallace Road. A short foot chase ensued
where other officers from the North Bay Police Service backed up Cst. Brewer.

When the man was finally caught after a short period of time he falsely identified himself. Further investigation showed that this individual had been involved in other criminal matters.

John Perreault, 25, is charged with break and enter and theft , two counts of fraud under and two counts of breach of undertaking as well as a breach of probation and two counts of breach of undertaking from Durham Regional Police. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
