TWO ARRESTED RE STOLEN TRUCK On Dec. 23 shortly after 3 a.m., Cst. Steve Taylor and Jim Kilroy of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend an erratic driving complaint in the McKeown Av. area of the city.
TWO ARRESTED RE STOLEN TRUCK
On Dec. 23 shortly after 3 a.m., Cst. Steve Taylor and Jim Kilroy of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend an erratic driving complaint in the McKeown Av. area of the city. The officers spotted a truck a short distance away and stopped the vehicle. One of the occupants was
arrested at the scene and the other was caught a short distance away. The truck had just been stolen from a parking lot nearby.

Corey Mitchell, 18, of Champlain Street, and Kevin Buckley, also 18, of Sable Crescent, are charged with possession of a stolen truck.
They are
to appear in court on the 17th and 18th of Feb.


STOLEN VEHICLE BOUND FOR AFRICA


On Dec. 15, a 2004 GMC Envoy vehicle was rented at the North Bay Jack Garland Airport. On the Dec. this vehicle was located by Canada Customs in Halifax. The vehicle was in a container aboard a ship bound for South Africa. Investigators are still trying to locate the person who
originally rented the vehicle in North Bay.


YOUTHS ATTEMPT TO SET SCHOOL ON FIRE
On Dec. 22 at approximately 7 p.m. Cst. Steve Trahan and David Wilson of the North Bay Police Service were flagged down by youths near Silver Birches School on Marshall Avenue. They had seen two male youths start a
fire through the mail slot of this school and then flee the area. The officers extinguished the flame and the North Bay Fire Department was called to verify that the fire was completely out. Our Service is looking for two
suspects. One is a male in his early teens, 5' tall, and wearing a black jacket, and the second is a male, also in his early teens, 5' tall and wearing a white jacket.
