JUVENILE PROSTITUTION OPERATION
As a result of an ongoing investigation from information received from the Children’s Aid Society in July 2003, Det. Cst. Barry Ramsay of the Investigation Section of the North Bay Police Service has charged two adult individuals on the 7th of Oct.

This investigation is in regards to two juvenile girls aged between 15 years and 17 years who were engaging in prostitution as arranged by the accused persons, within the North Bay area. The time period was between 2001 and present and involved adult male clients.
This investigation is ongoing.

Mary Anne Bruckner, 30 years old of Pinewood Park Dr. in North Bay is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation;
two counts of living on the avails of prostitution;
two counts of juvenile prostitution; harassing telephone calls; and reach of Probation Order

Peter William Hallett, 35, of Pinewood Park Drive, in North Bay is charged with sexual exploitation; sexual assault and
obstruct justice.

Both individuals are in custody at the North Bay Jail, and will appear in court Oct. 14.

VICIOUS FIGHT
On the 8th of Oct. during the evening hours Cst. Mark McLeod and Ken Ayres of the North Bay Police Service attended a home in North Bay in regards to a man who had attacked another man within this residence.

The male victim received kicks and punches as well as having his finger bitten to the bone. Brent Allen James, 37, of Kehoe St., is charged with assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

THEFT OF VEHICLE CONTENTS
On the 9th of Oct. during the early morning hours Cst. Solman-Argue and Shawn Devine of the North Bay Police Service attended the Dane St. area of North Bay in regards to a male going through vehicles. The officers saw a man running in back yards and arrested him. Mathew Chechak, 21, of Astorville, is charged with trespass by night, possession of break and enter tools, theft under and possession of stolen roperty under $5000. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing. Any person who has sustained a similar loss are requested to contact the North Bay Police Service at 497-5555.
