North Bay Police continue to investigate a motor vehicle collision that took place yesterday afternoon.

Shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday May 4, 2016, the male driver of an SUV travelling North on Algonquin Avenue at Greenwood struck an 80-year-old North Bay man and a 74-year-old North Bay woman who were both on foot, crossing Algonquin Avenue from a parking lot on the east side towards a medical building on the west side.

Both pedestrians were transported to hospital in Sudbury. The male pedestrian succumbed to his injuries early this morning, while the female pedestrian remains in critical condition in hospital.
