The following is a news release from North Bay Police:

Update: North Bay man faces more charges of sexual assault

On July 27, 2017 North Bay Police charged James Boucher with an additional 40 charges relating to sexual violence and drug related charges. The initial investigation commenced after the accused and the victim met at a local licensed establishment. It is alleged the sexual assault occurred a short time after they left the establishment.

A media release assisted in identifying more victims in the community. A total of 14 victims have been identified which resulted in the additional charges.
James Larry Boucher, aged 20, of North Bay is charged with:

  • 16 counts sexual assault
  • 11 counts sexual interference
  • 3 counts choking
  • 4 counts luring a child under the age of 18
  • 8 counts trafficking a controlled substance
  • 1 count forcible confinement
  • 1 count assault
  • 1 count assault with a weapon
  • 5 counts breach of probation.

The accused is currently in custody and is awaiting a bail hearing.
