On Tuesday July 19, 2016, following an ongoing investigation and the execution of Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on the 2600 block of Trout Lake Road, officers arrested

Two face drug charges

On Tuesday, July 19, 2016, following an ongoing investigation and the execution of Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on the 2600 block of Trout Lake Road, officers with the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime unit arrested and charged:

Ryan Michel Lacroix, age 21, of North Bay with:
One count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
One count of possession of property obtained by crime; and
One count of possession of a prohibited weapon.

A 31-year-old North Bay woman with:
One count of possession of cocaine.

As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police seized:
54 grams of cocaine with a street value of just over $8,000 dollars;
$2,900 in cash;
drug accessories; and
a conducted electrical weapon (taser) designed to look like a cellphone.

Both accused were released from custody with court appearances scheduled for August 30, 2016.

Two face drug charges

Yesterday, officers with the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime unit observed a suspected drug transaction take place outside on Worthington Street East. Following an investigation, police arrested and charged:

Rossi Giovanni, age 50, of North Bay with:
One count of trafficking;
One count of possession of property obtained by crime; and
Two counts of possession of a schedule I substance.

A 28-year-old woman of North Bay with:
One count of possession of a schedule I substance.

As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police seized:
A small quantity of methamphetamine, morphine and suboxone pills; and
$95 in Canadian currency.

The accused were released from custody with court appearances scheduled for August 30, 2016.
