Two face drug charges

Shortly before 2:30 a.m. this morning, following an ongoing investigation and the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residential address on Charles Street West, the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime unit arrested and charged two men.

Kadeem Robinson, age 27, of Etobicoke, Ontario was charged with:
One count of possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
One count of possession of marijuana; and
One count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

A 57-year old North Bay man was charged with:
One count of possession of marijuana; and
One count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

As a result of the investigation, the North Bay Police Service seized:
31.2 grams of crack cocaine;
$3,440 in Canadian currency; and
18.3 grams of cannabis marijuana.

The total value of the drugs seized is estimated at $4,500.

Robinson was held in custody pending a bail hearing while the second accused was released with a court date scheduled for March 8, 2016.
