A theft of a 2008 Mercury 20 HP 4-stroke outboard motor from a driveway of a residence in Callander sometime between 15 August and 16 August 2017.

 

Overnight on August 16, a Brick was used to smash a front window of a business in the 300 Block of Lakeshore Drive. A safe was removed from the premises.

After receiving numerous media request the following is being released:

A cat was observed with a can on its head inside a store on Main Street East.

A window was broken to free the cat from the can.

The damage to the window could have been avoided had the police been contacted before trying to remove the can from the cat. The Humane Society was also involved.

The North Bay Police Service and the Humane Society are no longer involved with this incident.
