'Significant quantities' of illegal drugs found at city home

The North Bay Police Service has arrested and charged a 19-year old man and 29-year old woman with drug trafficking offences after finding 'significant quantities of illegal drugs' in the residence.

The arrests were made this past Saturday.

On October 15, as part of an unrelated investigation, police searched a Regina Street home and found the two inside, who were arrested.

Police seized:

  • 16 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • 9 grams of methamphetamine
  • 94 grams of cocaine
  • 17 grams of Fentanyl
  • 134 tablets of Benzodiazapine
  • A quantity of cash

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $23,000.

Tyler Campbell of North Bay is charged with:

  • Three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Three counts of failing to comply with a sentence
  • Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Kayla Rose Martel of North Bay is charged with:

  • Three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Two counts of failure to comply with a release order
  • Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Campbell and Martel were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
