The North Bay Police Service has a 22-year-old woman in custody after the body of a 56-year-old woman was found on the grounds of the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital late Friday night. No charges have been laid yet, although foul play is suspected.
The North Bay Police Service has a 22-year-old woman in custody after the body of a 56-year-old woman was found on the grounds of the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital late Friday night.

No charges have been laid yet, although foul play is suspected.

The deceased has been identified as Rita Quinlan, 56, formerly of Lakeshore Drive, in North Bay. Police said she had been a patient at the psychiatric hospital.

Inspector Mark Montgomery of the North Bay Police Service, pictured above, said at a news conference Saturday morning that police were responding to a missing persons report at the hospital.

"While police were in attendance, information was received that led to the discovery of a deceased female on Roy Drive at 10:43 p.m.," Montgomery said

Police continue to guard the scene and a major case management team has been assembled and is being led by Det. Rob Jerome of the Criminal Investigation Unit.
