OPP have arrested a pair of teens after threats were made against a Renfrew school this week.
On June 6 at 10:50 a.m., the administration from the school called the Renfrew OPP about a threat against the school. Threatening messages had been put at various locations around the school.
"Officers attended the location and commenced an investigation into the occurrence. There was a police presence at the School on June 7,, due to the threats that had been reported," says a news release.
Two young people have been charged:
A 14-year-old has been charged with mischief, uttering threats, assaulting a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer.
A 15-year-old has been charged with mischief and uttering threats.
The pair were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew at a later date. The identity of the accused has been withheld as it is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
