Police arrest and charge industrial park break-in suspects

Two people, including a 22-year-old North Bay resident, are facing a number of charges relating to a break and enter in the industrial park in North Bay. 

The North Bay Police responded to an alarm shortly before 11 p.m. on Monday, January 11 at Progress Court in North Bay.

When police arrived the police say they located James Deveau and Tashina Wabano-Chevrier.

Police allege the two accused had broken into the business where they were located and arrested. Police also seized a set of bolt cutters at the time of the arrest.

The two individuals arrested and charged are James Deveaux, age 22, of North Bay and 31-year-old Tashina Wabano-Chevrier. 

Deveau is charged with: 

  • Two counts of Break and Enter with Intent;
  • One count of Possession of Break-in Instruments
  • One count of breach of probation

Wabano-Chevrier is charged with:

  • Two counts of Break and Enter with Intent;
  • One count of Possession of Break-in Instruments
  • One count of breach of probation

Both accused remain in custody pending bail hearings at the North Bay Courthouse.
