The Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP is investigating a death on Metagama Road, Unorganized Township, north of Sudbury
Officers were called shortly after 5:27 p.m. on September 20, when one person was found deceased.
"While the cause of death cannot yet be confirmed, investigators believe there is no imminent threat to public safety, although the OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times," says a news release.
OPP units involved include the Nipissing West Crime Unit, North Bay Forensic Identification Services and USAR CBRNE Response Team
Police say the investigation is in its early stages and no further details can be released at this time, however esidents of the area should expect to see a large police presence.
