North Bay driver charged with impaired

A driver has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic complaint.

Yesterday shortly before 7 p.m., Nipissing West OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 17, West Nipissing.

The vehicle was located and the driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to the Cache Bay OPP detachment for further testing.

Robert Cote, 34, from North Bay, is charged with, operation while impaired.

Cote was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 6 in North Bay.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Meanwhile, a West Nipissing driver has been charged with impaired driving after a different traffic complaint.

On May 28, shortly after 9 p.m.,  officers responded to a traffic complaint on Cache Street, West Nipissing.

The vehicle was located and the driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to the Cache Bay OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Zachary Davison, 24, from West Nipissing, was charged with, operation while impaired.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 6 in North Bay.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
