Three reports of tire-slashing in residential area of Lakeside Drive/Coreen Crescent

Over the weekend, North Bay Police received three separate mischief complaints. Two residents on the 300 block of Lakeside Drive and one resident on Coreen Crescent reported that tires—one tire on each of their respective vehicles—were slashed. All three vehicles were parked in their driveways overnight between Friday evening and Saturday morning.

Weekend Occurrences

Over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 259 calls for service, and arrested and charged 13 people with the following offences:
One person was charged with one count of robbery, one count of assault with a weapon, one count of utter threats to cause bodily harm, one count of possession of cocaine, one count of possession of marijuana, and one count of forcible confinement;
One person was charged with one count of break and enter and theft, and one count of theft under $5000;
One person was charged with one count of break and enter and theft, one count of theft under $5000 and one count of breach of Officer in Charge undertaking;
One person was charged with one count of break and enter with intent and one count of trespass by night;
One person was charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of breach of probation;
One person was charged with one count of care and control while impaired and one count of care and control over 80 mg;
One person was charged with one count of breach of Officer in Charge undertaking and two counts of breach of probation;
One person was charged with one count of breach of recognizance;
Two people were charged with public intoxication;
One person was charged with one count of domestic assault;
One person was charged with one count of possession of cocaine and three counts of breach of recognizance;
One person was charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of recognizance.

North Bay man faces several charges following robbery

Following an investigation into a robbery complainant reported to police early Sunday morning, North Bay Police arrested and charged James Larry Boucher, age 18, of North Bay with:
One count of assault with a weapon;
One count of robbery with a weapon;
One count of utter threats to cause bodily harm;
One count of forcible confinement;
One count of possession of controlled substance (schedule I – cocaine); and
One count of possession of controlled substance (schedule II – marijuana).

It is alleged that shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2015 in the bathroom of a restaurant on McKeown Avenue, an argument between the accused and a male victim turned violent when the accused struck the victim with a hand tool. Still holding the tool, the accused then threatened the victim and demanded that he turn over the contents of his backpack, which he did. After obtaining the victim’s belongings, the accused then told the victim to lock himself in a stall and not come out, which he did. Police were contacted 30 minutes later after the victim and the accused had both left the premises.

Shortly after 5 a.m., North Bay Police located and arrested the accused at his residence, where he was found to be in possession of 19.4 grams of suspected marijuana and 5.8 grams of suspected cocaine, which police seized. The accused was held in custody for bail.

The victim, who is known to the accused, suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of this occurrence.

Two face charges for break and enter and theft

A concerned citizen contacted police shortly before 6 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, to report two suspicious persons checking parked vehicles in the Tackaberry Drive area of North Bay. Following an investigation, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

Nathan Theodore Goulais-Renaud, age 20, of North Bay, with:
One count of break and enter and theft;
One count of theft under $5000; and
One count of breach of Officer in Charge undertaking

and

Jordan Michael Julian Beaucage, age 21, of North Bay, with:
One count of break and enter and theft; and
One count of theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that the two men entered the premises of a downtown retirement residence, leaving with a number of food items. The two then proceeded to the Tackaberry Drive area where they entered a parked vehicle and stole a smart phone. Both were arrested on Gormanville Road shortly after 6:30 a.m.

The two accused were later released from custody with court dates scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2015.

North Bay man faces charge following break & enter

Following an investigation into a report of a break and enter, North Bay Police arrested and charged Riley Rose, age 18, of North Bay with:
one count of trespass by night; and
one count of break and enter with intent.

It is alleged that in the early morning of Saturday September 12th, 2015, while walking along Ski Club Road, the accused entered the backyards of numerous residential properties. Then, at approximately 2:10 a.m., he kicked in the door of one residence, causing damage, and later fled the scene. North Bay Police located and arrested the accused on Norman Street shortly thereafter.

He was later released from custody with a court date scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2015.

North Bay man accused of assault with a weapon

Following an investigation into a report of an assault, North Bay Police arrested and charged Clayton Hugh Fuller, age 31, of North Bay with:
one count of assault with a weapon; and
one count of breach of probation.

It is alleged that at 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 during a party held in a downtown residence, an argument between the accused and a male victim known to him turned violent when the accused assaulted the victim with a metal broom handle. The victim required emergency medical treatment for his non-life-threatening injuries as a result of this occurrence.

Police located and arrested the accused at his residence shortly thereafter.

He was later released from custody with a court date scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 2015.
