Three motorists face charges
Over the weekend, following North Bay Police Service investigations into three separate incidents, three motorists faced charges:
Shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, a concerned citizen contacted police to report a motorist who was suspected of driving impaired. After a traffic stop conducted on Lakeshore Drive, police arrested a 49-year-old male driver and later charged him with one count of drive with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood.
Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, a concerned citizen contacted police to report a driver who was suspected of being impaired. After police located the 43-year-old male suspect in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle on McKeown Avenue, he was arrested and later charged with one count of care and control of vehicle while impaired; one count of refuse to provide sample; and one count of possession of cannabis resin (hash).
Shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, a concerned citizen contacted police to report a motorist who was suspected of driving impaired. After a traffic stop conducted on Giroux Street, police arrested a 49-year-old male driver and later charged him with one count of impaired driving; and one count of drive with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood.
