The North Bay Police Service is currently investigating a break and enter that occurred on campus on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016 at approx. 10:30 p.m. A male suspect wearing blue jeans, a ball cap and a hoodie broke into a lab in the Centre for Physical and Health Education. Missing from the lab are several MacBooks and black computer bags.

Break and enter in Callander

The North Bay Police Service is currently investigation a break and enter that occurred sometime overnight between Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19. An unknown person or persons entered a garage and a vehicle parked at a residence on Hwy 654 in Callander.

Missing are two firearms and a green military-style ammo box full of ammunition. One gun is described as a Remington 870 Express Nitro mag 12-gauge pump action, and the other is a 1961 Winchester 30-30 lever action rifle.

Man charged with assault causing bodily harm

Following an investigation into a 9-1-1 call to police reporting a disturbance on McKeown Avenue early Sunday morning, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

Dylan Sheard, age 22, of North Bay with:
one count of assault causing bodily harm.

It is alleged that sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, following a confrontation between the accused and another man on McKeown Avenue, the accused assaulted him. The victim, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to hospital by ambulance.

The accused was later released from custody with a court date scheduled for Jan. 10, 2017.

Man faces assault with a weapon / mischief charges
 
Following an investigation into a 9-1-1 call to police reporting a disturbance on Fraser Street early Sunday morning, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

William Henry Moore, age 30, of North Bay, with:
one count of assault with a weapon;
one count of mischief under $5,000; and
two counts of breach of probation.

It is alleged that on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, shortly after 2 a.m., following a confrontation between the accused and a man outside on Fraser Street, the accused struck him with a brick. The male victim was able to block the strike and did not require medical attention. Police arrested the accused near the scene shortly thereafter and transported him to police headquarters, where he damaged a wall-mounted telephone, rendering it inoperable.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
