MAN ASSAULTS TWO
On Nov. 2 at approximately 1:30 a.m., constables Steve Sproule and Bill McMullen, of the North Bay Police Service, attended a parking lot near
McIntyre St. and Fisher St.
A man there had allegedly assaulted a woman and choked another man who tried to intervene.
David John Salmond, 38, of Bay St. in Sturgeon Falls is charged with two counts of Assault and two counts of uttering threats. He was held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
On Nov. 2 during the early morning hours a woman attended at the North Bay Police Service headquarters on Princess. St. W. and complained of an alleged assault against her by her male partner. This male partner had then allegedly prevented her from leaving the residence and seeking assistance. She was
later able to attend the police station. Cst. Aimee Ethier and Rob Stewart attended the residence in question a few hours later and arrested the male adult.
He is charged with assault, forcible confinement and breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing.

RISK WATCH DAY
Dr. McDougall School at 1040 Brooke St. will be hosting a Risk Watch Day from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. today for all of its students as well as the parents. This event will consist of several safety areas of concern for children. There will be community partners at this location such as the North Bay Fire Department, North Bay Police Service and others.

BREAK AND ENTERS

Overnight Oct. 31, thieves forced their way into an office at the Shibelith building, in the 300 block of Main St. W. Although a desk and key box were pried open it is not certain if anything is missing.

Overnight Nov. 1. thieves pried open a side and rear door of Rialtos on Lakeshore Dr. They took cash and numerous bottles of liquor and unsuccessfully tried to pry open the safe. They also broke a computer and
caused about $1000 damage to the door.

Overnight Nov. 3 thieves forced their way into the office of Place Richelieu on Lakeshore Dr. The security camera was pushed up and the VCR tape was taken. Although the thieves attempted to break into the safe,
they were unsuccessful.

Shortly before 1 AM Nov. 2 the owner of a residence in the 200 block of Madelena Drive heard voices outside of his residence. He went to investigate and found that his kitchen window was open and that the screen
had been pushed aside. No entry had been gained.

At approximately 2 a.m. Nov. 2, thieves entered a boarding house in the 1000 block of Frazer Street through an unlocked door. The thieves then went through several rooms and stole several model cars, a PlayStation 2 game and an NHL 2004 Play Station game.
