On Friday evening, North Bay Police patrol officers were dispatched to a North Bay residential unit on First Avenue West following a report of stabbing.

Three faces charges following stabbing incident

On Friday evening, North Bay Police patrol officers were dispatched to a North Bay residential unit on First Avenue West following a report of stabbing. As a result of the investigation, one woman and two men were arrested and charged.

Allannah Justine Meunier-Gauthier, age 21, of North Bay, was charged with;
One count of assault with a weapon;
One count of aggravated assault; and
One count of breach of probation.

Jason Robert Laperriere, age 30, of North Bay, was charged with:
One count of assault with a weapon;
One count of aggravated assault; and
One count of breach of probation.

Brandon Alexander Thomas, age 31, of North Bay, was charged with:
One count of assault with a weapon; and
One count of aggravated assault.

It is alleged that on Friday, May 12, 2017, at approximately 9:40 p.m., the three accused entered the residential unit of a man known to them. Following a verbal dispute with the man, Meunier-Gauthier stabbed him with a knife. The three accused then fled the scene on foot. North Bay Police patrol officers located the three accused shortly thereafter.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.

Police recovered the knife at the scene of the incident and seized it as evidence.

All three accused were held in custody for bail hearings.

Police investigating stabbing incident

The North Bay Police Service is currently investigating a stabbing incident that took place in a residential unit on Fourth Avenue East shortly before midnight on Sunday, May 14, 2017.

Police arrested a male suspect at the scene.

Three male victims, known to the accused, were injured and transported to hospital by ambulance.

The accused was also injured, requiring medical attention in hospital.
