MAN STRUCK IN HEAD
On March 13 shortly after midnight an argument ensued between two men within a residence in North Bay. The aggressor threatened to burn the residence down while the other male slept inside. The victim was also struck several times to the head with a cup and finally the accused tried to strike the victim with a cast iron frying pan but missed.

Anthony FISCHER, 42, old of Oakwood Avenue, is charged with two counts of Assault With a Weapon and one count of Threatening. He was remanded to the District Jail. Cst. Jim Kilroy and Larry Asselin of the North Bay Police Service were the arresting officers.

16-YEAR-OLD BEATS MOTHER
On March 14 shortly before noon a 16-year-old male got into an argument with his mother within their own residence. The argument escalated to the point that the youth struck his mother with a rocking chair and shortly after kicked her. The youth left the home before police arrived, however returned later and was arrested by Cst. Randy Adair of the North Bay Police Service. He is charged with Assault With a Weapon and Assault. He was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

HOCKING STOLEN PROPERTY
On March 12 while two men were trying to hock stolen tools from a previous break and enter, Cst. Larry Asselin and Andre Berube of the North Bay Police Service attended and arrested them.

Everitt GAUVREAU, 21, of Lansdowne Avenue, is charged with three counts of Break and Enter and two counts of Possession of Stolen Property. He is to appear in court April 20.

Cory VAN KEUREN, 23, of O’Brien Street, is charged with Break and Enter and Theft and Possession of Stolen Property. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
The investigation continues.
