Man faces charges following domestic disputes

On Saturday, following an investigation into a 9-1-1 call reporting a domestic disturbance in a North Bay residence, North Bay Police arrested and charged:
A 32-year-old North Bay man with:
One count of assault;
One count of uttering threats; and
One count of assault with a weapon.

It is alleged that on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at about 9 p.m., an argument between the accused and his wife in their residence turned violent when he assaulted her. It is also alleged that on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, shortly before 10 p.m., in the same North Bay residence, the accused threatened a male relative and then proceeded to assault him with an aluminum bat, causing minor injuries.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

In the interest of protecting the identities of the victims, the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the name of the accused.
