Sexual Assault
On Feb. 8, shortly after 8 a.m., a male who had attended North Bay for a hockey tournament allegedly went into a bedroom of the residence where he was staying and sexually assaulted a female who had been sleeping.

The North Bay Police Service was contacted and has charged
a 23-year-old Quebec man as a result.

Nathaniel Joseph Blacksmith, 23, of Mistissini Lake, is charged with sexual assault and is being held for a bail hearing this morning.

Public Mischief
On Feb. 7 a female called the North Bay Police Service to report a sexual assault. She provided a statement to police regarding two separate incidents, but subsequently admitted
she had lied.

Connie Kathleen Evelyn Hamelin, 37, of Lakeshore Drive, North Bay, has been charged with public mischief and is to appear in court at a later date.

Forcible confinement
On Feb. 6 shortly before noon a female was assaulted, threatened and not allowed to leave by a man known to her.

Constables Kerr, Martin and Johnson, of the North Bay Police Service, attended the residence.

Marco Charron, 34, is charged with assault, mischief under, threatening, forcible confinement and two counts of breach of probation. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.
