ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON On the Nov. 29 shortly after 2:00 p.m. an argument between a woman and a man known to her took place at a residence in North Bay. The woman threatened the male with a knife.

On the Nov. 29 shortly after 2:00 p.m. an argument between a woman and a man known to her took place at a residence in North Bay.

The woman threatened the male with a knife. She was arrested and held in custody pending court, charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, breach
of probation, and breach of undertaking.
The involved male assaulted the female and was arrested and also held for bail.


ASSAULTS
On the evening of Nov. 28, a 38-year-old North Bay resident allegedly assaulted his common law girlfriend, who attended the hospital for medical attention.

The accused was arrested and held for court on the charge of assault bodily harm.



THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
On Nov. 29 police responded to a suspicious male on Elks Rd. in North Bay. A stolen vehicle was recovered and the accused male was arrested at a residence on Sparks St.

Jonathan Robert Paul, 25, was held for court on charges of possession of stolen property and breach of probation.


BREAK AND ENTERS


In the early morning hours of Nov. 29 the bottom portion of the front window was broken at Bay Produce at 1200 block of Fisher St. in North Bay.

Nothing appears to have been taken from the premise.

On the 28th of Nov. in the afternoon a shed was broken into on Leask Ave. A quantity of tools were taken.

RIDE PROGRAM
The North Bay Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police conducted RIDE over the weekend and checked approximately 600 vehicles. There were tw twelve-hour suspensions issued as well as nine highway traffic act warnings relating to equipment.

The RIDE program will be heightened and extra patrols will be conducted due to the holiday season. The public is reminded not to drink and drive, and have a safe holiday season.

FURTHER TO THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

On the 29th of Nov. police recovered a stolen vehicle on Elks St. in North Bay. A second male, 20 year old Josh Trottier of McKeown Ave. is charged with possession of stolen property, breach of probation, attempt theft and mischief.

Stabbing

The North Bay Police Service was called to Country Style on Foran street, North Bay Nov. 29 at 2:20a.m. Upon arrival, the police discovered a 20-year-old male had sustained a stab wound to the shoulder as well as stab wounds to the right forearm and cuts to the face. The male was uncooperative but police investigation revealed the male was in an altercation a short time earlier in the 100 block of Main street East.
