Man charged with attempt murder

On Thursday, following an investigation into a 9-1-1 call reporting a stabbing, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

Bradley Joseph Gagnon, age 19, of North Bay, with:
One count of attempt murder; and
Two counts of breach of probation.

It is alleged that on Thursday, Apr. 6, 2017 at approximately 6:30 p.m., while the accused was at his male friend’s residential unit visiting him, he pulled out a knife he had in his possession and began to repeatedly stab him. The victim yelled for help. A neighbour heard the commotion, entered the unit, and assisted the victim in disarming the accused, who fled the scene on foot. Police located the accused on foot shortly thereafter. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Damage to business

The North Bay Police Service seeks the public’s assistance in a mischief investigation. Sometime before 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, Apr. 9, an unknown person or persons threw a rock at a business on Main Street East causing damage. Theft from vehicles

The North Bay Police Service is currently investigating a number of reports of thefts from vehicles.

Sometime overnight between Friday, Apr. 7 and Saturday, Apr. 8, a person or persons unknown entered an unlocked vehicle on Lancelot Avenue and took a pair of Oakley sunglasses.
Sometime on Saturday afternoon before 3 p.m., a person or persons entered an unlocked vehicle parked at a business on Main Street East and removed two blue and black mini IPads.
Sometime overnight between Saturday April 8th and Sunday Apr. 9, a person or persons unknown entered an unlocked vehicle on Beth Street and took a black gym bag with clothes as well as loose change.
