On Saturday, members of the North Bay Police Service, North Bay Fire and Emergency Services, and OPP held a memorial service to honour the 2,565 civilians and 412 first responders who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City.
"We remember those who died, including the 412 first responders who gave their lives running into danger when their city and country needed them," said a tweet.
