Man was arrested following an investigation into several 911 calls to police on Wednesday morning regarding a loud dispute taking place in the unit of an apartment building in North Bay

Man faces assault charges

At police headquarters yesterday afternoon, following an investigation into several 911 calls to police on Wednesday morning regarding a loud dispute taking place in the unit of an apartment building in North Bay, North Bay police arrested:

Darian Lyle Laffrenier, age 22, of North Bay and charged him with:
One count of assault causing bodily harm;
One count of assault with a weapon; and
One count of breach of undertaking.

It is alleged that on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2016, shortly before 6:43 a.m., in the accused’s residence, an altercation between him and a man known to him turned violent when the accused punched him and later hit him with a frying pan. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result and was transported to hospital by ambulance.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
