On Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017 at approximately 8 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence following a threats complaint. As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

A 38-year-old man, of North Bay, with:

  • 3 counts domestic assault

  • 1 count domestic mischief

  • 1 count utter threats

It is alleged that between Aug. 14, 2017 and Aug.  22, 2017 the accused slapped the victim in the chest, grabbed the victim’s forearm in an attempt to prevent her from using her phone and kick a door open within the residence which hit the victim. The accused also threatened to wreck the victim’s car and break the windows.

The accused was held for a bail hearing on Aug. 23, 2017. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

In the interest of protecting the identity of the victims, the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the name of the accused.

 

North Bay Police are investigating a break and enter into Colonel Hoagies between Aug. 22, 2017 and Aug. 23, 2017. It is suspected a window was broken to gain entry and a cash box and cash were taken from the business. Investigation is continuing.

On Aug. 24, 2017 at approximately 6: 30 a.m., North Bay Police were dispatched to a break and enter into a local daycare facility. It is believed someone entered the facility between Aug. 23, 2017 and Aug. 24, 2017 overnight through back door. The office was ransacked but nothing appears to have been taken.

On Aug. 24, 2017 at approximately 1:55 a.m., North Bay Police responded to an alarm call at North Bay Denture Clinic. At this time police are still investigating.

 

On Aug. 23, 2017 at approximately 8 a.m., North Bay Police responded to a break and enter into a residence on Kingsway Avenue in North Bay. Entry is believed to have been gained through a rear window in the residence and jewelry, tools and electronics were taken.

 

On Aug. 24, 2017 North Bay Police received a complaint about a female representing herself as a Hydro One employee, offering rebates for furnace updates. Police have confirmed with hydro One that there are no such promotions currently being advertised.
