The North Bay Police Service says over $50,000 in stolen property has been recovered and a 28-year-old man has been arrested for break and enter.
In the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 10, police say a man gained access to a restricted area of a business located on Charles Street East in the Ferris section of the city and stole over $50,000 worth of property,
The goods were stashed in two bike trailers on the Kate Pace Way.
Police say later that same day, employees located the trailers, and while the thief was not present, retrieved most of the stolen property. Officers arrived and using a police drone, located the man and tracked his movements until patrol units were able to effectively make the arrest. Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:
- A pair of wire cutters
- An e-bike (as offence-related property)
Abraham Kingsbury, 28, of North Bay, is charged with:
- Break, enter a place to commit an indictable offence
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Fail to Comply with a probation order
Kingsbury was released on an undertaking and is set to appear before the court on January 7, 2025.
