Driver charged with impaired after Highway 17 accident

On September 23 at 11:08 p.m., Nipissing West OPP, Nipissing Paramedic Services and West Nipissing Fire Service responded to a single vehicle accident on Highway 17, West Nipissing.

The driver was taken to the local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver was arrested for impaired driving and refused to provide a breath sample. 

Trevor Gamble, 37, from Calgary, is charged with, failure or refusal to comply with demand.

He was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on November 3 in West Nipissing.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Earlier that same day at 6:55 p.m., OPP investigated a report of a theft from a residence on Lacoste Road, in Markstay-Warren.

As a result of the investigation, Trevor Gamble was arrested and charged with, theft Under $5,000- shoplifting.

He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on November 2 in Sudbury.
