A Guelph man was charged with having an insecure load on Saturday, after being spotted with a mattress and box spring on top of a car held down by a bed sheet.

GUELPH - A mattress and box spring were held onto a car roof by a bed sheet draped over top, with the driver and front passenger holding on to the edges of the sheet Saturday night, prompting a police traffic stop.

Police pulled the vehicle over shortly before 11 p.m. at the intersection of Victoria Road South and College Avenue East.

A 26-year-old Guelph man is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with insecure load.
