The leaders of the four major provincial parties are facing off this afternoon in a debate at the Capitol Centre in North Bay.
The event got underway at 1 p.m. and is expected to run for a couple of hours. It's the first of only two debates scheduled for the Ontario election campaign.
The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities is hosting the event, focusing on northern issues, as part of its annual convention.
It's being moderated by Markus Schwabe of CBC and includes Liberal Leader Steven Del Duca,Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford, NDP Leader Andrea Horwath and Green Leader Mike Schreiner
The provincial election is June 2.
