The Palladino Auto Group is happy to be back in North Bay and they are putting down roots—deep roots. This is an important part of the company’s mission.

“The Palladino Auto Group has returned to the city of North Bay, and we are looking forward to establishing strong community partnerships for years to come,” says Vince Palladino, President and CEO, Palladino Auto Group. “With the recent successful grand opening of our newest acquisition, Subaru of North Bay, our team is eager to meet the Subaru clientele and get involved with local community initiatives.”

The new Subaru of North Bay celebrated its successful grand opening on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Staff had the pleasure of welcoming the Chairman, President and CEO of Subaru Canada, Tomohiro Kubota, and the executive team from Subaru Canada.

Guests were able to experience several Subaru vehicle demonstrations and enjoyed a photo booth, games, door prizes, spin-to-win, Beavertails and delicious food from local restaurant Moose’s Cookhouse. They were also able to meet the team.

A focus on active, healthy lifestyles and giving back

Subaru Canada takes great pride in sponsoring many exciting sporting events and worthy charitable causes throughout the country. By providing support and making a difference in communities, they strive to promote an active, healthy lifestyle, while giving Canadians opportunities to push their personal limits.

This is also why they build their vehicles: to encourage people to get outside and be able to move in any weather condition. They are committed to giving back through the Subaru Triathlon Series, Subaru Running Series, SJA Therapy Dog Program, Adventure On Parks, Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance and Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto.

In late September 2023, the Subaru of North Bay dealership partnered with Mercedes-Benz of Sudbury, which also services the North Bay area (along with all of Northern Ontario), for the Nipissing Serenity Hospice Drive-In Movie Fundraiser where they featured the beloved 1985 classic Back to the Future! All funds raised went to the North Bay hospice, which provides high-quality, person-centred residential hospice palliative care to residents of the Nipissing and East Parry Sound districts in both official languages. The hospice’s specialized interdisciplinary team, along with many talented and dedicated volunteers, attend to individuals’ physical, psychosocial, spiritual and practical needs, as well as provide ongoing support for their loved ones.

They also participated in the Rotary4Kids Radio Marathon in March and look forward to getting more involved in 2024.

The NEO Kids Foundation charity is near and dear to Vince Palladino, his family and the Palladino Auto Group team. They take great pride in hosting the Palladino Auto Group Golf Classic for NEO Kids, their annual golf tournament, raising funds to support the health of children and youth in Northeastern Ontario. Money raised is used to help advance healthcare through the purchase of medical equipment, investments in capital and other programs that advance patient care.

Vince Palladino took over the Brian Savage Mulligans for NEO Kids Golf Classic from his life-long friend Brian Savage in 2015. They continue to surpass their fundraising goal each year, having raised over $920,000 to date—that’s in addition to the Palladino family’s personal donation of $500,000 in November of 2016. In June 2024, they will host the 8th annual golf classic where they will officially reach over one million dollars raised from this yearly tournament.

Exciting launch: The new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness

At the recent grand opening of Subaru of North Bay, the company also had the honour of launching the provincial debut of the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness. This newest version was engineered to level-up your adventures and allow drivers to explore more of the great outdoors.

The exterior of the Wilderness edition includes exclusive features, such as the extra-tough body cladding, higher ride height, roof rails with anodized copper accents and an under-engine skid plate for added protection. The interior showcases anodized yellow accent trim, yellow contrast stitching and the Wilderness logo embossed on the front seat headrests.

Don’t miss out on test driving this impressive new vehicle.

The history of the Palladino Auto Group: “Our legacy drives us forward”

The Palladino name was established in the automotive industry over 50 years ago. It continues to be well-known for quality, superior customer service and community engagement. “The organization today has advanced drastically from the original version, but their core values and traditions have stood the test of time: dedication to exemplary service, a loyal team of committed staff and forward-thinking vision,” says Morina Anzil, Marketing Director, Palladino Auto Group.

Vip Palladino, the company’s founder, began his automotive career as a young man. Eventually he had three used vehicle locations in Sudbury—collectively named Vip’s Car Land. Following the success of the Honda Civic in the early 1970s, Vip decided to get involved in the import market, and after being blown away by a five-minute test drive of the new Honda Civic, opened the place where it all began, Palladino Honda. It continues to stand as a leader in providing quality service to Sudbury and the surrounding area.

Under the guidance of his father, Vince Palladino became the General Manager of Palladino Honda in 1998; shortly after, in 2000, he became the Dealer Principal. Vince has maintained his values at the centre of the business and expanded the Palladino Auto Group across Ontario over the years into Kitchener, London, Toronto, Oakville, Muskoka and North Bay. He currently has a powersport and marine dealership, Sudbury Boat and Canoe, in addition to seven automotive dealerships: Palladino Honda, Palladino Mazda, Palladino Subaru, Mercedes-Benz of Sudbury, Forest City Dodge, Golden Mile Chrysler and Subaru of North Bay.

The Palladino Auto Group is proud to represent the Subaru brand in the North Bay area. The brand delivers a lineup of vehicles that are a combination of safety, performance, reliability and adventurous spirit, ideal for Northern Ontario conditions. They have over 40 years of fine-tuning the Subaru symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive system and more than 50 years of experience in developing the legendary SUBARU BOXER engine. From the Ascent, Forester and Outback to the Legacy, Impreza, WRX and BRZ, or the fully electric Solterra, Subaru has a vehicle for every driver.
