RDS.ca is reporting that the San Jose Sharks have re-signed Craig Rivet to a four-year 14 million dollar contract. The North Bay native who was traded to the Sharks near the trade deadline last season was eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.

Rivet had 1 goal and 7 assists in 17 regular season games with the Sharks and followed up with a solid playoff where he scored 2 goals and added 3 assists in 11 playoff games.

Before the trade deadline deal the former Kingston Frontenac junior spent 12 seasons playing for the Montreal Canadiens.
