NDA Soccer playoff outlook

Last Friday, the Junior Boy Division had one quarter-final match with the following result:

FC 3 VS WFSS 2

This sets up the following Junior Boys Semi-final action this Wednesday, May 23rd:

FC @ SJSH 4:30 pm (SJSH - 1st place bye)
ESA @ WSS 4:15 p.m. (ESA - 3rd place and WSS 2nd place had byes too)


The Bears are putting their undefeated season on the line in this sudden death playoff match against a Franco side that proved they can win big on the road. Meanwhile the Barons and Wildcat match will prove to be competitive, as only 1 point separated these sides by regular season's end.

Last Wednesday, the Senior Boy division held three quarter-finals with the following results:

WSS 1 VS. FC 4
NSS 1 VS. SJSH 5
ESA 2 VS. CSS 1


This sets up the following Senior Boys Semi-final action this Tuesday, May 22nd:

ESA @ WFSS (First place - bye in Quarters)4:15 p.m.
SJSH @ FC 4:30 p.m.


The Algonquin Barons hope to upset the favoured and undefeated West Ferris Trojans at home. While Franco Cite will try to use their home field advantage to help them defeat a Bears team that boasted a 4-2 record this season.

Last Thursday, the Girls division held the quarter-finals will the following results:

NSS 0 VS. CSS 8
ESO 0 VS. SJSH 2 (Forfeit result)
WFSS 0 VS. WSS 5
ESA 1 VS. FC 4


This sets up the following Girls Semi-final action this Tuesday May 22nd:

FC @ CSS 4:30 p.m.
WSS @ SJSH 4:15 p.m.


The Patriots will have a tough task ahead of them playing away at Chippewa, as the Raiders are undefeated and have not allowed a goal scored against them in eight games. Meanwhile, the Wildcats and Bears are playing not only for a chance to play in the NDA title match but for the opportunity to go to NOSSA as the 'AAA' NDA representative.

Once the semi's are done, the NDA Soccer Finals will take place on Friday, May 25th. The highest ranking team will host the games. Each of the three finals will take place at 4:15 p.m. (For all North Bay teams) or 4:30 p.m. (for a traveling or visiting Sturgeon team).
