Three former North Bay Trappers from the 2006/2007 Season have signed with Ontario Provincial Junior “A” Hockey League (OPJHL) Teams and are preparing themselves for their upcoming main hockey camps.

Defenceman Josh McCully has signed with the Seguin Bruins out of the Humphrey Community Centre in Humphrey, Ontario outside of Parry Sound. The Bruins are in the North Division of the OPJHL. Defenceman Curtis Megginson has signed with the Port Hope Predators out of the Jack Burger Sports Complex in Port Hope. Defenceman Josh Tass has inked a deal with the Peterborough Liftlock Stars out of the Evinrude Community Centre in Peterborough, Ontario.

Former North Bay Trappers coach John Couch ran a six-week on-ice conditioning camp for local elite hockey players including the trio that signed with their respective OPJHL teams.

Couch is proud of his former players, who have worked hard during the past Midget AAA season and post-season conditioning. Megginson and Tass will be playing against each other in the East Division as well as against other North Bay Trapper Alumni.

The Trappers trio joins two other Trapper graduates in the Junior "A" league as Marc Senecal is back for a second year with the Wellington Dukes, while Darcy Vaillancourt is back for year two with the Kingston Voyageurs.

The three defensemen attend their respective Hockey Camps later this month. Eight other North Bay Trappers from last season will be attending main junior camps this month as well.
