The Thunderbird Swim Club had 10 swimmers participating at the Aqua Sport Nike Invitational meet held in Montreal this long weekend. As each swimmer stood on the blocks anticipating the start, they were reminded that at one time former and present Olympians once stood there. With this thought, amazing results were posted by all swimmers.

Bryanna Penno, Jaime Udeschini, Sierra McCourt, Kylie Weber and MacKenzie King came away with medals. Penno had two silver, McCourt three gold and one silver, King one silver and two bronze, Udeschini one silver and Weber one silver as well as achieving a provincial standard time. Megan and Emma Hives, Andrew Palangio and Greg Katsuno all posted times that qualified them for finals in the evening. Dylan Jackson came away from the meet with one club record in the 1500 free.

Our boys individual medley relay team swam hard and fast achieving a fourth place while the girls relay consisting of Penno, McCourt, Emma and Megan Hives achieved a silver medal. The club is anticipating great results this weekend as the North Bay Titans will be hosting there annual invitational meet here at home.
