TURCOTTE, Omer

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, Saturday, April 7, 2007, at the age of 82. Omer was the beloved husband of Pauline (née White) and loved father of Denise Turcotte (Les Daniher), Monique Tamblyn (Paul) both of Callander, Jerry (Irene) of North Bay and Rene (Janice) of Callander. He will be lovinlgy remembered by two grandchildren, Alex and Spencer. Dear brother of Adeline Martel, Edgar Turcotte and Celina White. Predeceased by his parents, Alda and Camille Turcotte and siblings, Vic, Russell, Alice Mison, Florence Guidon, Ted, Thomas, Joseph and Lena Turcotte.



Omer was a WWII veteran and served with the Algonquin Regiment. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Callander Branch 455. He retired from the Ontario Northland Railway as a boiler maker.



Family and friends may pay their respects at MCGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, today, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Callander Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to North Bay General Hospital or Royal Canadian Legion Callander ‘Poppy Fund' would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
