MARTIN, Douglas Clarence Hugh

Douglas Martin was called home to be with his Saviour on March 20, 2007 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband for 60 years of Leora (Fulcher) and dear father of Lynda & Mike Fochuk (Caledonia) and John Martin (London). Grandfather of Michael (Caledonia) Kevin and Leanne Fochuk (Windsor).
Great-grandfather to Jaisey and Charlize Fochuk. Survived by sister Betty (Maurice) Russell (London), brother in law Denzil Patterson (St Marys) and sister in law Joan (Parkes) Martin (Callander), and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents Clarence Martin (1963) and Gladys (Mossey) Martin-Turner (1998); brother Jack Martin (1996) and sister June Patterson (2006).

He was a retired employee of Dupont and had, until recently, been
actively involved in the Royal Canadian Legion, Callander Branch as Padre, and the United Church in Canada, as a Lay Pastoral Minister.

The family would like to thank the staff on the 3rd floor of NBGH, McLaren Site for the care and attention given to him.

Friends may be received at the Martyn Funeral Home (across form City Hall) on Thursday March 22nd, from 3-5 p.m. and from 7 - 9 p.m., with funeral service in Knox United Church, Lansdowne
St E, Callander on Friday, March 23rd at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jane Capstick officiating. Interment at a later date in St. Marys Cemetery, St. Marys, Ontario.
