LANE, William “Bill” Sr.

Of Temagami Ontario. Retired from DeHavilland Aircraft of Downsview, Ont passed away at 76 years of age on Wed. July 12, 2006 at Temiskaming Hosital in New Liskeard, Ontario after a short battle with cancer. He was recently predeceased by his beloved wife and partner of 16 years, Tyyne Ida Marie Lane who also succumbed to cancer on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006. William Lane is survived by sons William Lane Jr., Jeffrey Lane and wife Donna Nearing, and grandson Theron Taylor Lane, all of Mississauga, Ont., daughter Jessica Wheeler (nee Lane) of Oshawa, as well as one brother, two sisters, three nephews, and two nieces, all of southern Ontario.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service on Sat. Aug. 19, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Temagami Ontario. The remains of both Bill and Tyyne will be together for this ceremony.

Grateful thanks to Dr. Goddard, as well as to the dedicated nurses of Med-surg. and Palliative Care (Team ‘A') Temiskaming Hospital, and Palliative Care volunteer Laure Laroque, for their support, kindness , compassion, and excellent care. Special thanks to friends Don and Carol McMillan for their caring and support, and all their hard work in helping the family deal with these recent untimely and tragic events.
