FOURNIER, Therese (nee Goguen)

1928 - 2007. It is with deepest sadness and heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Therese Fournier at the age of 78. She went peacefully to the Lord with her children at her side. Therese leaves to cherish her memory her children Denis (Darlene), Bob (Lynn), Murielle (Greg), Luc and Pierre. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her Grandchildren, Marc-Alain, Monique, Paulette, Louise, Christopher, Bryan, Michelle, Stephanie, Chantal, David, Danielle, Evan, Christina, and her Great- Grandchildren Kristopher, Caleb, Tyler, Madyson and Talon-River. She also leaves to mourn her very dear friend Gaetan Giroux, her sister-in laws Imelda Goguen of Moncton and Aline Goguen of St. Antoine. She is predeceased by her late husband Marcel(1997),her parents Delphin and Exelia (Cormier) Goguen, her brothers, Louis, Robert, Aristide, Omer, Livian Goguen, her sisters Florida Gallant, Emilienne Cormier, Geneva Goguen and Lina Goguen.



Therese left home at the young age of 18. Arrived in Toronto where shortly after she met our Dad, Marcel Fournier. They were happily married July 9th, 1955. They settled in Sturgeon Falls where together they created a happy home, for their children, rich with love, laughter and devotion. Therese was a successful Avon Representative for many years. She enjoyed her summers at the lake and warm winters in Florida. Her hands were rarely idle, usually filled with needlecrafts. She became a pretty good dancer in her later years enjoying going to dances and listening to Blue Grass music.



The family would like to express their gratitude to the many friends and family who supported Therese with cards, phone calls, and visits during her illness. Funeral Mass to celebrate Therese's life will take place at Resurrection Church, Sturgeon Falls, on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 11 am. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, family and friends can make a memorial donation in Therese's name to a charity of choice.
