BLONDIN, Evelyn Isabel (nee: Stargratt)

Born March 22, 1913, of Callander, Ontario. Passed away on Sunday, April 08, 2007. Peacefully at home in her 94th year, with her loving family by her side. Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late William Blondin and dearly loved mother of children: Leona Daniher (Callander) (husband Raymond, deceased), Lloyd Blondin (deceased, wife Leona Blondin of London, Ontario), Isabel Whittaker (Callander) (husband Kenneth, deceased), Reta Oglestone (Callander), (husband Glen), Leonard Blondin (North Bay), Louis Blondin (Picton) (wife Norma), Joan Windsor (Carrying Place) (husband Ron), John (Jack) Blondin (Callander), (wife Eileen), Rolland Blondin (Callander), William (Bill) Blondin (Callander), Edward Blondin (Sturgeon Falls), Robert Blondin (Toronto) (wife Marie, deceased) and Peter Blondin (infant son deceased). Pre-deceased by her parents, Paul and Caroline Stargratt (nee Aultman); sisters Leila Martin, Ada O'Shell; brothers Louis, Eugene, Samuel and Dutch Stargratt; survived by dear sister Mabel Bennett (Callander). She will be sadly missed by all, including her loving grandchildren (39), great grandchildren (81) and great-great grandchildren (32) and many nieces and nephews, as well as family and friends alike. She was a life-time honorary member of Branch 445 Legion (Callander) and member of the Pioneer Club and Over 55 Club (Callander). She welcomed and loved everyone, enjoyed playing cards, bingo, gardening, reading, knitting and especially cooking for her big family gatherings every Sunday (we're going to miss that!). Flowers, babies and anyone's pets just lit up her life and made her day. On behalf of the family, we would like to thank all the health workers, specifically, Suzanne, Joanne and Marion, for their gentle loving care.



Funeral arrangements: MARTYN FUNERAL HOME, 464 Wyld Street, North Bay, Ontario, P1B1Z5 (705-472-8810). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11th from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, April 12th, 11:00 A.M. A celebration of her life will be held at the Canadian Legion, Branch 445, Callander, Ontario, immediately thereafter. Flowers are welcome and/or donations may be made in Evelyn's name to the charity of your choice.
